Introduction: Taking Time for #ListeningToGod — Join Me?
I started the summer (officially) by taking a few days with the Lord and my bike in a beautiful place near home in Arenzano, Italy. I had some projects (namely this one) to develop, but I had been sensing an invitation from the Lord to take some time to breathe deeply, be quiet, and open my hands and heart to receive from my God.
He sees me.
He knows me.
He loves me so.
He’s got something to say…

Recently, I shared these thoughts as an introduction to a season of “Listening to God” for our One Challenge “Virtual Chapel” online meeting. This video is a Bible study of 1 Samuel 3:
I am working on a series of short teaching videos, prayer exercises, and Bible readings exploring the theme of “Listening to God”. Here’s an example of the prayer exercise using Psalm 46.

I leave you today with a quick reflection on “stillness”.

Where do you see yourself in this image?
How do you feel when your body, mind, and spirit are quiet before the Lord?
I hear an invitation to listen in the stillness. It’s a great place to start training your ears to hear from the Lord.
“Be still and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10a
