This October 8-11, One Challenge is hosting its second-ever OC Alumni HOMECOMING. Retired and current OC mission workers, former office staff, past or present OC Board members, and adult MKs, are invited to gather for three days at St. Francis Retreat Center in Colorado Springs.
It will be a time of fellowship, catch up, worship, and prayer with one another. Included in the retreat will be an opportunity to visit the U.S. Mobilization Center and reconnect with personnel there. “We call it coming home,” say Jim and Sue, OC’s alumni member care champions and retreat hosts. “The purpose is to renew old friendships in the OC family, to share stories remembering God’s faithfulness, to celebrate the privilege it has been to minister cross culturally, and to encourage each other to finish well.”
First Homecoming Conference Reviews
“Coming to this retreat is really the fulfillment of a dream I’ve had for 15 years.” “OC is family to me, and they will always be my family.” “OC really is a very unique organization and the kind of people that OC has attracted through the years are people who really love the Lord and are committed to doing the ministry of the Lord, but also who enjoy having a lot of fun.” That’s what attendees of the first-ever OC alumni conference in May of 2016 said.
It was a delightful and refreshing time of recollection and reconnection, captured in part in this video https://vimeo.com/168820695. Recognize anyone?
