“We live in momentous times. We watch the news, and we see a world that is threatened by danger and people that are gripped by fear. And yet we do not often hear of how the Lord is on the move in dark places. Someone once said, if you want to transform the darkness, you need to turn on the light.

“Jesus himself said, ‘I am the Light of the world.’ [John 8:12] Well, around the globe today, we see followers of Jesus Christ who are turning on the light by living courageous lives, loving others at their own personal risk, facing danger head on because of Jesus. We want to help those kinds of people.

“One Challenge is devoted to serving, equipping, and connecting the global body of Christ and its leaders to transform lives, communities, and nations. By God’s grace we have the opportunity to serve in 102 nations around the world. The Lord has been so faithful to us. We are seeing him move through disciple making movements (DMM) that are giving birth to hundreds if not thousands of churches in difficult places. We are seeing ministry breakthroughs that are bringing God’s hope to broken homes, into classrooms, locker rooms, boardrooms, and onto the streets of cities both far and near.

“As we enter into 2016 we are passionate to partner together with you to turn on the light. We want to thank you for your prayers, for your friendship, for your financial support, for sending workers and teams, knowing that the Lord together is leading us into a promising, hopeful future. In the words of Luis Palau, former OC president: ‘Let us dream great dreams, plan great plans, and pray great prayers.’ Working together, let us transform the darkness by turning on God’s light.
