Dean Carlson shares his thoughts on his first quarter as President of One Challenge: “It’s been a privilege to lead the OC global family through ten weeks of prayer and preparation for this new chapter in OC’s 63 history. As a multi-generational, multi-cultural organization, we are devoted to move with God in his mission of love to all people in every nation. Prayer is crucial as we seek to live on the cutting edge of his redemptive work.

The Gathering … OC Global Alliance

“The Lord’s guiding hand was powerfully evident in two major One Challenge events last month (March 2015). OC Global Alliance leaders gathered from eleven national mobilization centers to discuss ministry collaboration. Stories of ministry innovation and servant partnering kept us on the edge of our seats. We heard first-hand reports of how God is raising up cross-cultural workers from every continent and opportunities for ministry among the millions of people migrating from one country to another. We marveled at stories of servant partnering … for example, how Singapore and the Philippines have joined hands to stimulate disciple-making movements in least-reached nations of SE Asia. Indeed, much can be accomplished as God’s people work together.

Leadership Conference and Future Send

“One Challenge also hosted a leadership conference involving U.S.-sent leaders serving around the world. Prime time was given to creative thought in working groups focused on OC’s growing ministry within changing U.S. and global contexts. This discussion came at the culmination of the three-year Future Send process involving 3000 hours of interactive research. Proposals put on the table ranged from recruitment to leader development to ministry models. The One Challenge executive leadership team is integrating the proposals into a long-term strategic plan that will take us – by God’s grace – to the next level of missional effectiveness. God is on the move, and OC is moving with him!
