OC International - missions for today's world

OC International is an interdenominational faith mission in structure, interchurch in ministry, and international in vision. We believe that whole nations can be reached for Christ. With more than 500 missionaries, OC is involved in evangelism, discipleship, leadership training, church growth, missions, and support services.

VISION: Healthy churches working together to reach all nations.

MISSION: To mobilize godly and effective church leaders to reach all nations.

STRATEGY: Using research, motivation, and training, we mobilize Christian leaders to reach their nations and beyond.

WE ARE FAITH BASED. Most of our missionaries trust God to provide a prayer and financial support team.

WE ARE INTERDENOMINATIONAL. OC partners with and works to empower the whole Body of Christ.

WE ARE GLOBAL AND CONTEXTUAL. We have resident teams in more than 24 countries and carry out ministry in more than 65. Our ministry is contextual to the culture in which it takes place, designed in partnership with host country Christian leaders.

WE WORK IN TEAMS. Our missionaries live close together, make ministry and financial decisions together, support each other emotionally and spiritually, and are accountable to one another.

WE ARE 'FIELD UP' IN MINISTRY APPLICATIONS. Our field missionaries decide what ministry looks like where they are within the large umbrella of ministry philosophy and strategy set out by our board of directors. The IMC (International Mobilization Center) in Colorado Springs serves our teams with a variety of supportive ministries. Ministry decisions are based on what research has shown as the greatest needs of a country and are made in partnership with Christian leaders within that country.

WE ARE FREE TO BE INNOVATIVE AND ARE COMMITTED TO PARTNERING. If it isn’t being done, and needs to be, we will consider doing it by God’s grace and provision. If another ministry is doing it and doing it well, we will support their efforts.

WE ARE A FAMILY FIRST ORGANIZATION. We believe in a balance between family and ministry, but the welfare of a family will never be sacrificed for the sake of ministry.

WE WORK WITH AND WITHIN THE LOCAL CHURCH. We believe our job is to work with the church and help it be what God calls it to be. How this plays out is displayed in these examples:

• We minister to the unreached through equipping and mobilizing the reached.
• We plant churches by training indigenous church planters.
• We are involved in youth ministry by equipping youth leaders.

We call this multiplying ourselves in others. As a result of this, and by the grace of God, we have a widespread influence.
